If you have been reading this blog, you have seen two robots showing up in our articles — the green one with the glasses, sitting at the desk with the laptop and the coffee mug, and the pink one with the big ideas and the bigger energy. They have names now: RORO and CCJE (pronounced “See-Gee”).
They are the official SecureCyberIT mascots, and from here on out, they are the faces of this blog — side by side.
Who is RORO?
RORO is the green robot, and he is the explainer. Whenever a topic gets technical — the kind of topic that usually comes with a whitepaper and a headache — RORO walks through it with you, step by step, in plain language.
Let me be straight with you: RORO is a fictional character. He is me in disguise — my stand-in for the blog. Everything he explains comes from real work, real research, and real certifications. He is just a friendlier way to deliver it.
Who is CCJE?
CCJE is the pink robot, and she is the helpful one — with a mischievous streak. Where RORO is methodical, CCJE is the spark: she asks the question you were thinking, points at the thing everyone missed, and keeps the whole thing human. Security done right has a sense of humor about itself, and she is where it lives.
Like RORO, she is a fictional character — part of the team, not a real person.
Why two mascots?
Because cybersecurity has an intimidation problem, and it takes two kinds of guides to fix it. Most explanations are either written for engineers or watered down into uselessness. There is not much in between for the small business owner who just wants to understand what happened and what to do about it.
RORO lives in that in-between space. He asks the questions you would ask. He does not assume you know the jargon — and when jargon shows up, he spells it out. CCJE makes sure you are still awake and smiling while he does it. Together, they are the voice of this blog: thorough and human, in that order.
What they do
You will see RORO at the top of our feature articles — the long-form pieces where we take a real incident or a complex topic apart and put it back together so it makes sense. He is not here for the comics (those are their own thing). He is here for the explainers: the breach breakdowns, the tool guides, the “how did this actually work” pieces.
CCJE shows up where things need a lighter touch — the tips, the reminders, the “do not do what this person did” moments. She is the reason security advice does not have to feel like homework.
His desk tells you everything about his approach. The laptop keeps the research. The books are policy, testing, and response — the unglamorous fundamentals that actually stop breaches. Nothing flashy. Just the work.
Why mascots at all?
Because trust is personal. SecureCyberIT is a one-person consultancy — every engagement is performed directly by the founder, and this blog is written the same way. But a wall of text from a stranger does not invite anyone in. RORO and CCJE do. They are the hosts who greet you at the door of a complicated topic and stay with you until it clicks.
They will never pretend to be real people, and they will never pretend a topic is simpler than it is. What they will do is make sure you leave every article understanding more than when you arrived.
Say hello
RORO already made his first appearance in our breakdown of the French supermarket fridge hack — the cyberattack that turned hundreds of freezers into ovens. If you have not read it yet, start there. It is exactly the kind of story he exists to explain.
And if there is a topic you have always wanted explained properly — no jargon, no condescension — book an introductory call or just reply to one of our LinkedIn posts. RORO takes requests. CCJE takes suggestions.
Welcome aboard, you two.
